Breakfast in Hotel Intergate Kanazawa

We enjoyed the location of the hotel. It was very close to everything. We wanted to do concluding catching buses along both the red line and the green line tourist roots. It was very close to Kennesaw Castle and the main eateries and shopping districts.

Buffet breakfast in Hotel Intergate Kanazawa

The hotel is in an excellent location and a reasonable price for the standard of our room and the hotel. Staff were mostly helpful. We enjoyed a pleasant city outlook from our higher floor corner room, which was very quiet, with a comfortable bed & enough room for our luggage. We did not have breakfast at the hotel as we enjoyed visiting local cafes. We found many great dining options a nice walk from from the hotel as well as the Omicho market. The hotel was also a short walk to the lovely Oyama Shrine, then over a footbridge behind this to Kanazawa castle, then over another footbridge from the castle grounds to the amazing Kenrokuen Gardens. The old Samurai Nagamachi district is also nearby, making the hotel a great sightseeing base.

Lounge or bar in Hotel Intergate Kanazawa

The location - amidst all major Kanazawa landmarks such as the castle, Kenrokuen, Omicho market, Higashi Chaya District, Nagamachi and the lovely museums. Kanazawa is a very walkable town and this hotel enjoys perfect location. The room size (Superior Twin) was ok and we could open our two suitcases and still walk around, which is not always the case in Japanese hotels 😁The free snacks and drinks are really a treat, especially when you come back after an intense day to find some light meal (rice, beans, toppings and tsukemono) to fill you up. The common space is always busy, and we always knew when the free wine was offered 'cause it was literally full 😉The little onsen was a big plus after all this walking. The staff - very friendly and helpful. We left our baggage with them to dispatch to the next location and they took care of everything.

Excellent breakfast and also all of the extra treats that were complimentary throughout the day. They went above & beyond with complimentary wine & drinks & snacks from 5-7pm. Also have coffee & snacks in the aftn as well. Excellent location too, good for walking around the city & to the station if you like walking. Close to Kanazawa Castle & the gardens too!

Lobby or reception in Hotel Intergate Kanazawa

A nice, small room. Ensuite facilities were all fine. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is great: easy walking to the castle and museums, and reasonable number of restaurants around as well as quality shops. The walk from the train station is 20 minutes or so, but it’s all flat. Having afternoon tea (no extra charge) was a nice feature.

Breakfast in Hotel Intergate Kanazawa

Our Hollywood twin room was laid out very efficiently with everything within reach and lots of power sources. Good design for a small space. We appreciated the soaking tub, the blackout blinds and extra pillows. The breakfast and snack/happy hour amenities were terrific. Lots of variety and delicious choices. The front desk staff was not particularly helpful, as they were in every other place we stayed in Japan despite the language barriers. For example, they made a requested dinner reservation for us on a night the selected restaurant was closed, which we found out after taking pains to arrive on time. Something must have been lost in translation. Don’t expect concierge level service with suggestions and tips. The staff are polite and professional, and there to check you in and out efficiently and that’s about it.

Lounge or bar in Hotel Intergate Kanazawa

Good-sized room — clean, comfortable, and relatively quiet. The hotel has a small onsen and laundry facilities, which were very convenient. In addition to the regular Japanese amenities like slippers, robes, hairbrushes, razors, etc., the hotel also provided free samples of face wash, lotion, and cream. In the morning, guests can enjoy complimentary mini smoothies and coffee. During happy hour, there’s free red and white wine, champagne, and some crackers. In the evening, they even offer free soup. Great value for the price, and the free extras were especially enjoyable on rainy evening. Most importantly, we were allowed to check in a little earlier, as the staff informed us our rooms were already cleaned and ready.

Property building in Hotel Intergate Kanazawa

The hotel is beautiful, comfortable, and the service is excellent. The Standard Double Room is more spacious than the average Japanese hotel room, though it might still feel tight if you have two large suitcases. The bed was very comfortable, the room was well-lit, and it included an armchair with a small side table. The only issue was that the chair blocked the closet door (where the electric kettle was stored), so you had to move it to access anything inside. Basic amenities and skincare products were available in the lounge, but unfortunately, there were no bath salts. The lounge area is nice and stylish, with a good selection of drinks. However, the snack options could be better. During my stay, the receptionist was also responsible for restocking drinks and serving coffee in the lounge, which seemed like a lot for one person to handle. I was torn between hotels, so I split my stay. Intergate is probably better for groups who enjoy the lounge and alcoholic drinks. Since I barely drink and found the snacks underwhelming, I preferred another hotel that had a better bathroom and a massage pillow in the room. 😅 They offer walking tours on specific days and local Kanazawa craft workshops —you can check availability at reception. Unfortunately, no tours were scheduled during my stay, but you can check their website to plan ahead.

Breakfast in Hotel Intergate Kanazawa

This is a lovely hotel located close to the Kanazawa station (approx 1.1 km/0.6 mile) . The staff are very courteous and kind . The hotel chek in and check out are very easy and hassle free . They allow u to leave your luggage if u come before time and keep after checking out too - for same day only . The rooms are decently spacious with amenities toiletries , night suit and slippers . The lounge at entrance provides the guest with free drinks (juice and certain alcohol Including wines ) and light snacks from 3-10 pm The breakfast at this hotel has a good spread for a local Japanese cuisine buffet , option for non meat eating vegetarian/ vegan are limited , though I did not specifically ask if they provide for them separately . One could take a city bus 18 from Kanazawa train station to get off at third stop or walk to reach the hotel . The Kanazawa castle (1 km) and Ke rokeun gardens (1.5 km) are within walking distance .
