Didn't have any expectations about this hotel and was pleasantly surprised how nice it was - and it just kept getting better and better! The decor was very modern - sort of Habitat meets Zen! Our room had a nice little ' designer' sofa and table and the room was separated from the bathroom and separate toilet and hallway with washing unit, by a sliding door. Comfortable bed. There was A LOT of free stuff! A selection of toiletries to take to the room, and various free drinks throughout the day served in the very pleasant lounge area - there was even Prosecco in the evening, and later on, rice bowls with condiments, for a late evening snack! Breakfast equally smashing! Also there was an Onsen - but didn't try it out or see it ... Location-wise - we thought was fine - we walked there from station, and to market and to the castle, museum and the old quarter ... there was a bus to the station very near which we caught easily when we left . Photos of Art Gallery, Omicho Market, Kenrokuen Gardens.

The hotel is in an excellent location and a reasonable price for the standard of our room and the hotel. Staff were mostly helpful. We enjoyed a pleasant city outlook from our higher floor corner room, which was very quiet, with a comfortable bed & enough room for our luggage. We did not have breakfast at the hotel as we enjoyed visiting local cafes. We found many great dining options a nice walk from from the hotel as well as the Omicho market. The hotel was also a short walk to the lovely Oyama Shrine, then over a footbridge behind this to Kanazawa castle, then over another footbridge from the castle grounds to the amazing Kenrokuen Gardens. The old Samurai Nagamachi district is also nearby, making the hotel a great sightseeing base.

Our Hotel Intergate Kanazawa was a smaller standard room (17m sq) but had a terrific location opposite Kanazawa Castle Park, 3 minutes from the central tourist information centre and only 20 mins walk from anywhere. For about $175 AUD a night the hotel was are very generous in all the added value like Italian wines and cocktails of the day 5-7pm, buffet breakfast that includes the Italian sparkling wine on weekends, a basic afternoon tea 3-8pm, and a rice and toppings supper 8-10pm. Takeaway Coffee all day. Loved the onsen communal bath at the hotel. More like a day spa + sauna, than a public heated pool. Also liked the inexpensive doll painting activity you could do in the late afternoon.

The location of this hotel is honestly unbeatable. It is near to all the public transportation you will need that will give you access to both Kanazawa Station and any other tourist destinations you want to see. Many of the tourist destinations are within walking distance of this hotel! I particularly enjoyed the drinks and snacks that were put out every evening for all guests to enjoy. The vinegar drinks were absolutely delicious. It rained alot while we were in Kanazawa (it actually rained every single day) but the hotel warmed us right up every time we came in wet from the rain and tired. I definitely recommend staying here.

Good location close to Korinbo stop on the city loop. Great amenities - with lounge access with complimentery early morning smoothies, coffee, afternoon tea and snacks, happy hour drinks and ochazuke (rice with tea) at night. Communal bath was a pleasant surprise. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable with separate toilet to shower/bath. Slippers and sleepwear were provided. Additional amenities downstairs including lotions and cleansing oils. Staff were very helpful, especially with luggage forwarding - most kindly spoke great English, and were very helpful via translating apps if not.
